Designed for independent arts practitioners with disability or who are Deaf as well as disability-led arts companies who are new to touring or who want to learn more about performing arts touring in regional Australia, the Arts On Tour Touring Lab will provide practical advice and support, as well as networking opportunities.
In the style of a conversation, Arts on Tour will talk through the questions listed below and will also encourage your questions. Arts on Tour is keen to hear from artists with disability about the challenges of getting your work out to a wider audience.
- What is Arts on Tour?
- Is my show tour-ready?
- How do I sell my show? What are presenters looking for?
- How do I start a relationship with a venue around touring?
- How do I build an itinerary, develop a touring budget, and work out fees?
This workshop will be hosted by Kate Gaul from Arts On Tour, and choreographer Bonnie Curtis. And participants will get paid a small fee of $100 for providing feedback about the workshop via a post-event survey.
