28 May Hickson Road Arts Group

Come along to the next meeting of the Hickson Road Arts Group on the 28th of May from 2-4pm; a peer discussion group by and for artists with disability supported by Accessible Arts.

This month, visual artist Keith Rutherford will be speaking to us about his artistic practice and career highlights. We will also be discussing the difficulties artists with disability face in being paid for their work and will share information about upcoming events and opportunities.

The Hickson Road Arts Group is a peer discussion group by and for artists with disability, supported by Accessible Arts.  It is for artists working across all art forms and at any level of their careers. It is a safe space for artists with disability to meet and connect with other artists whilst hearing about opportunities and developing new knowledge and skills.

Below is some general information about these meetings.

If you’re an artist (visual artist, musician, writer, or other) living with disability and looking to make new connections, keep informed about opportunities, and develop your skills, then the Hickson Road Arts Group could be for you. Artists from all art forms with all levels of abilities are welcome.

What’s the group about?

It is a supportive environment in which artists can speak about their artistic practice, share ideas for current and future work, and gain insights into a diverse range of arts practices through participation in skills-sharing opportunities.
