Accessing the Arts Group Meeting
Imagine your organisation has launched a sparkling Accessibility and Inclusion Action Plan 2018-2021 (AIAP). All stakeholders participated enthusiastically, but now it is time for the plan to embed itself into the daily grind.
How is that possible, what are the pragmatic and problematic issues and how are they resolved.
What’s on Offer
Gain insights from our colleagues at the Australian Museum about how they are delivering on their plan to ensure the Museum’s programs and resources are inclusive and accessible. Hear from Tanya Goldberg, Creative Producer, who will share her wisdom alongside key staff from the Education Team, the Digital Team and the AIAP Steering Committee.
We will end with a Q and A-style panel including Accessible Arts very own Liz Martin (musician) and Riona Tindal (visual artist) who participated in the Museum’s Culture Up Late event (following the AIAP launch) in February.
In Advance and Access
If you have a burning question for the panel about inclusive and accessible production, education, resource development, digital experiences, or performance, email us to ask in advance right here. Also, at the same time, please let us know if you have any access requirements! The event will be Auslan interpreted.
And, if you would like to view the Australian Museum’s AIAP, it is available from this page of their website.
Based on the feedback we received last year, our ATAG meetings in 2018 will be overflowing with practical information and first-hand experiences of what it takes to make art and culture inclusive and accessible. Don’t miss out on this free professional development opportunity.
