On 3 December 2009 a regional Arts and Disability Forum was held at the Penrith Regional Gallery & The Lewers Bequest, organised by the Sylvanvale Foundation with the support of Penrith City Council.

 On 9 October 2009, the Cultural Ministers Council agreed to the National Arts and Disability Strategy, which sets out a vision for improving access and participation in the artistic and cultural activities for people with disabilities.  The Accessible Arts website is a good resource for people interested in Arts & Disability Policy and Research, two new reports are now available. |
