![]() Music and Drama Performance Workshops with Bankstown Youth Development Service and Roselands Sports & Aquatics Club (RSAC). ![]() On Wednesday 29 April, 20 participants took part in the Disability Awareness & the Arts workshop in Bankstown. The workshop was facilitated by Jane Pollard and Claudia Chambers from Accessible Arts. Are you an artist, arts tutor, arts administrator, community worker running an arts program or setting up a community event? Come and participate in this free practical workshop to increase your awareness about disability in a social context, barriers to participation for people with disability and developing practical strategies to use in your work context. The workshop will be facilitated by Accessible Arts and is being financially supported by Bankstown City Council. Morning Tea will be provided for everyone that comes along. The workshop will be free of charge but registrations necessary. Limited places only. Accessible Arts ran 3 separate workshops in performance, music making and photography. Installation At the end an installation was created using images, sound and Bankstown City Council had a day of consultations with the disability community in the local area. Jen Teo and Alison Richardson from Accessible Arts provided a short presentation on the Western Sydney project. Issues of concern were identified by the group.
