Penrith Disability Arts and Culture Network

Penrith International Day for People with Disability 2010Sylvanvale Foundation, Penrith City Council and Accessible Arts are working together to establish a regional disability arts & culture network for people who live or work in Penrith.

The Penrith Disability Arts & Culture Network seeks to inspire and motivate the arts and disability sector to engage in community capacity building through the development of opportunities for people with disability to participate and experience the arts and cultural life.

Network Activities

Sound and Light Celebration – Celebrations for International Day for People with Disability in 2010 provided a showcase for some of the exciting developments occurring in Penrith.

Mapping Workshop – Nineteen representatives from the arts, disability and community sector participated in a cultural mapping workshop at Penrith City Council, facilitated by Dr Helen Armstrong.

Penrith Disability Arts & Culture Forum – A regional forum hosted by Sylvanvale Foundation with the support of Penrith City Council to celebrate International Day for People with Disability 2009.
