 Discover the art of Shadow Puppetry and learn how to make, move and tell a story using a shadow puppets in these hands-on practical workshops.  Come make a song using the Special Access Kit. Under the guidance of musician Mark Shepherd you can make a song using the Soundhouse Special Access Kit™.  An exciting series of 10 workshops for people with mild to moderate intellectual and physical disabilities at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery. The Access All Art Community Art Exhibition is open to all community and professional artists living with a disability or living with or recovering from a mental health disorder who currently reside in the Blue Mountains City Council region. A call for artists to exhibit their work is now open. Emerging, professional and first  Accessible Arts Western Sydney is looking for a casual tutor to run weekly performance workshops at either Blacktown Arts Centre or Hawkesbury Regional Gallery from July to September 2008. The suitable tutor would have skills in one of the performing arts e.g. music making, movement, dance, performance, theatre making and either experience or the Penrith City Council will be holding the Toolkit Workshop Series, six workshops that explore the nuts and bolts of what puts a great Community Cultural Development (CCD) project together. CCD projects are known for bringing together artists and communities to work creatively together with many positive benefits for those involved. Featuring guest speakers  The Mixed Abilities Ensemble Training Program has begun. Western Sydney’s Creative Programs Coordinator, Alison Richardson commented, “Cabravale Leisure Centre in Cabramatta didn’t know what hit them when their aerobic room was taken over by the eager young performers”. |
