Shadow Puppetry workshops at the Joan

Puppetry flyerDiscover the art of Shadow Puppetry and learn how to make, move and tell a story using a shadow puppets in these hands-on practical workshops.

Develop your skills over ten weeks to create a short piece of theatre to perform on the Q Stage.  An inbuilt literacy component in the workshop series will allow participants the opportunity to increase their literacy levels in a fun and creative way.

Tutors Stephen Carr and Noni Pares have had over 30 years experience in puppetry and have both worked extensively in the theatre industry with adults and children.

When: Wednesdays commencing 23 July – 24 September 2008, 10:00am – 1:00pm.

Where: Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, 597 High St Penrith.

Who: 16 years and over. Workshops are geared towards people with a disability.
