In 2007, participants of the Apprenticeship Training Program, Claudio, Ralph and David, conducted some vox pops for Accessible Arts AART.BOXX at Sydney Opera House for International Day for People With a Disability.

The crew interviewed some of the young artists as to the nature of their work and also the audience as to why they had come to the exhibition and their impressions of the work.

When our regular and fantastic tutor Don couldn’t make one Tuesday workshop it was the perfect opportunity to bring in guest tutor, Michael Chrisoulakis to run a one day video camera intensive to skill up the group in how to effectively shoot and conduct vox pops.

The group learnt about shot types and framing and basic camera operation and put their skills to use by conducting interviews with each other and the staff at Riverside Theatres.

There are now big plans by some of the group to film a Star Trek spoof- nothing like starting off big!
