Don't DIS my ABILITY 2009

Don't DIS-myABILITY

In 2009, high quality, sustainable projects that involved partnerships between the professional arts and disability sectors were eligible to apply for grants of up to $1000 as part of Don't DIS my ABILITY.

Accessible Arts small arts grants were made possible with the support of ADHC. Applications for grants opened in April and closed in August 2009. A total of 42 applications were received, with 11 grants of up to $1000 allocated.

A selection panel was formed to award grant allocations, on the panel were Suzanne Becker, Director Accessible Arts; Jim Conway, Musician; Becky Chapman and Josie Cavallaro, Arts Development Officers Accessible Arts.

"We are so grateful to you (Accessible Arts) for the support of our Creating Dreams project. This grant will enable the gallery and Endeavour Industries to create a wonderful and inspiring exhibition - and one which the whole community will be able to enjoy."
