David’s fascination for commercial and industrial buildings manifests in his drawings. David’s drawings are always drafted from memory and often drawn from a car passenger perspective. Sitting at traffic lights is often a starting point for his compositions, where with each drive-by or visit, a new detail is recorded and later rendered in the studio.

David carries a graphic journal with him to work in where and when ever possible.  When an architectural feature has become a chosen subject David may subsequently develop a theme into a series of works. David’s concern with detail results in imagery that excites the viewer as familiar styles of architecture are viewed from this artist’s concept of the building/s.

"Art Unlimited and AART.BOXX have been very beneficial to David in his interest in drawing and painting. With enthusiastic, highly skilled people to encourage him he has produced original works of which he is personally very proud. Acceptance into the AART.BOXX exhibition further heightens David's experience and as a result he feels more like he has found a place in the world and therefore has become more open to new experiences and increased confidence in himself and his art."
