Accessible Arts administered two years of Quick Response Grants up to $5,000 and Small Grants from $5,000–$20,000, throughout 2015 and 2016.
These grants were made available through a funding partnership with icare lifetime care. icare is a Public Financial Corporation governed by an independent Board of Directors that delivers insurance and care services to the people of New South Wales. Whether a person is severely injured in the workplace or on our roads, icare supports their long-term care needs to improve quality of life outcomes, including helping people return to work.
The Small Grants funding was designed to assist arts and cultural projects at any stage of their creative development or public presentation, to improve access for current and future icare participants, other people with brain and/or spinal cord injury and people with disability more generally, to arts and cultural practice in NSW.
The program delivered over $39,8589 in Small Grants funding to 50 arts based projects throughout 2015-2016.
Locations included: Sydney metro, Western Sydney, South Western Sydney, South East Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central West, North West, North Coast, Lower Hunter, South West, Eastern Riverina and South Coast NSW.
