Public Consultations on Support for Artists with Disability

Create NSW and Accessible Arts want to hear about your ideas and experiences through a series of consultations. The purpose is to improve support for disability arts, screen and culture in NSW.

And so…

Accessible Arts has been commissioned by Create NSW to undertake a consultation program with the arts and disability sector. The research will focus on gaining an understanding of what government can do to better support artists with disability, and on how the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) impacts on artists with disability in NSW. There will be a series of public forums in July and August, as well as an online survey.

The forums

A series of town hall-style public forums will focus on a number of topics while hoping to understand your ideas and experiences. This will be your chance to influence policy recommendations and program decisions ahead of Create NSW’s Arts 2025 development process and the next iteration of the National Arts and Disability Strategy.
