Emerge Outside is part of the ClubHouse, a new program of critical dialogue, creative exchange, conversation and revelation about interdisciplinary arts at the Performance Space. Eight artists with mixed abilities will use found sounds and field recordings gathered from environments where constriction does exists, to build a soundscape that will be performed live on Friday the 26 February 2010 at 7:30 pm.

Georgie Meagher, Public Programs Officer at the Performance Space said, "The ClubHouse is about accessibility and creating new audiences, as well as providing a space for interesting projects we haven't thought of ourselves."

Artists Randolf Reimann from Tra La La Blip and Jacqui O’Reilly, who is also the Communications Coordinator at Accessible Arts, conceived the project to enable music makers with mixed abilities the opportunity to experience sound art using modern synthesis techniques.

Jacqui O’Reilly explains “This project offers an opportunity for people with disability to step outside a world of barriers, come together, collaborate and experience interfaces and electronic instruments that are accessible and a lot of fun.”

With support from Regional Arts NSW, Randolf Reimann will come to Sydney from the North Coast of NSW, bring his Tra La La Blip set up with him, co-facilitate the soundscape workshops with Jacqui O'Reilly, and make a bit of noise at the ClubHouse, You Are Here season.
