Access All Areas Film Festival
Film : Various : 16 Nov - 3 Dec 09 : Access All Areas Film Festival visits venues across NSW featuring free screenings of acclaimed Australian films, which will be made accessible to people with a disability. This event is accessible to all with free entry and accessibility services for those who need them.
The films being screened are Sarah Watts's "My Year Without Sex" and Scott Hicks's "The Boys Are Back." The touring festival will visit Castle Hill, North Rocks, Griffith, Wagga Wagga and Orange, finishing its run at Sydney’s Dendy Opera Quays on 3 December 2009 to mark International Day of People with a Disability.

The Sydney screenings will run alongside “Willing & Able”: a panel discussion about increasing access to film and festivals for people with a disability.
All films will be audio-described for people with vision impairment where on-screen action is described in between dialogue and transmitted to an individual audio receiver (provided by the festival). Film will also be captioned for the hearing impaired and wheelchair accessible.
Screening intros, panels and Q&A’s will be Auslan interpreted.
