Bodylines at Shopfront - accessible theatre workshops

Workshops : Carlton : 4 May - 24 June 12 : Bodylines Ensemble are offering inclusive drama and movement workshops for 12 to 25 year olds.

Movement and theatre workshops offer an opportunity to create unique pieces of live performance as a collaborative group of young people with and without disability. Participants explore dance, drama, voice and storytelling to create their own performance material and, through this expression of ideas and self, develop leadership skills and a sense of autonomy as young theatre makers. No prior performance experience is required.

When: Fridays 4:00–6.00 pm for 8 weeks 4 May to 24 June. 

Where: Shopfront Contemporary Arts & Performance, 88 Carlton Parade, Carlton NSW.

Who: Young people 12-25 years with mild to moderate support needs. Places are also available for young artists who do not have a disability who would like to work in a supportive role, either as a performer or behind-the-scenes.

Cost: Workshops are free but a non-compulsory fee of $50 would be greatly appreciated if families and participants are able to contribute.
