Accessible Arts Board member Dougie Herd features in the Every Australian Counts campaign, inviting people with disability to get creative with video and tell their story to support the campaign.

UK based actor, dancer and comedian Kiruna Stamell will be a keynote speaker at the Arts Activated National Conference 2012 presented by Accessible Arts.

Mary Smith, a visual artist based in the Redfern area, talks about how Weave Arts Centre helped her start painting, leading to one of her art works being chosen by Sydney Opera House for the cover of their new Reconciliation Action Plan, launched earlier in 2011.

Representatives from Accessible Arts together with others from the Arts Access network Australia-wide, attended the 5th World Summit of Arts & Culture in October 2011, along with 500 delegates from around the globe.

Accessible Arts promoted arts & disability in Sydney, Australia on a giant 16 square metre screen at Sydney Film Festival TV, Martin Place Amphitheatre, during the 2011 Sydney Film Festival 8 - 19 June 2011 and at the Winter Festival, Cathedral Square, Sydney, 28 July - 14 August 2011.
