- Opening Night Auction of select high profile Contemporary Artists
Call for artworks
Professional and emerging artists, celebrities, friends, families and people with a disability are all invited to create and donate an artwork to help FRANS reach its target of exhibiting over 400 anonymous canvases, kindly hosted by Sydney College of the Arts, Rozelle.
FRANS will provide you with a 30 x 40 cm blank canvas on which you can paint, draw, paste, plaster or sew your piece in either portrait or landscape format. For anonymity purposes, canvases must only be signed on the back. However the size of the canvas is your only creative restriction.
Designed to promote Art for Art’s sake, artworks from people with disabilities will hang alongside professional & emerging artists and the wider community. The anonymity means each piece is judged on its artistic merit and allows art lovers and investors the wonderful possibility of purchasing a bargain that they will truly enjoy.
Last year’s high profile exhibitors included Archibald Prize winner Euan Macleod, Mambo artist Reg Mombasa and contemporary artists Lindy Lee and Jenny Orchard.
All funds raised from the exhibition will go towards maintaining and enhancing the level and quality of our innovative support programs, while furthering the independence, access and inclusion of the wonderful people and their families that we care for.
Canvases must be sent or dropped back to the FRANS office at 113 Edwin St North, Croydon 2132 OR one of our drop-off centres including the Marketing Office at Sydney College of the Arts, Rozelle. Please contact us for any assistance you may need.
