Biography: As a cartoonist I have worked with people  with various disabilities including vision impairment, autism, Aspergers, stroke, intellectual disabilities and specific learning requirements.  Most recently I have worked alongside police and social workers with at risk children in New Zealand and homeless young adults at the Oasis Youth centre in Sydney.  As an arts worker, my work has taken me into companies, conferences, libraries, prisons, galleries, schools and TAFE.  I am also experienced at working with clients one on one.   I am unable to drive, due to a sight disability, but I can travel unaided on public transport. A guide or assistance may be required from transport to venue.

Biography: I am a practising artist. I taught for two years at STUDIO ARTES where I worked with adults with a range of disabilities including intellectual, mobility and sensory impairment. In my workshops I have taught painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles and mixed media. I have a strong passion for the visual arts and making it accessible to anyone who desires to create. I have a BA degree in fine arts from the National Art School. Over the last three years I have had several group and solo shows.

Nyree Reynolds

Biography: I am an Indigenous woman of the Gamillaroi Nation and an artist member of Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co op. My experience ranges from working as an arts and community worker with Mental Health and Disability for over 15 years in the A.C.T., where I established the Belconnen Open Art Program. My approach to conducting workshops is focussed around a sense of purpose and place. There is an emphasis on teaching achievable skills  in a supportive and caring environment. The process evolves organically within the framework of the workshop allowing each person to develop artistically as an individual at their own pace. My qualifications include certificate 4 in Training and Assessment.

I currently works with two disability groups to produce and exhibit artworks. I work primarily with clay to create interesting artworks such as wind chimes, animals, and masks, using methods that enable people to create to their ability with positive outcomes.

Biography: I am a visual arts instructor with ten years experience in drawing, painting, collage, 3D sculpture and mixed media. I spent three years working at First Street Gallery in Claremont, California as an art instructor for adults (18+) with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. I designed and facilitated individual lessons and goals for clients depending on their needs and interests. My experience also includes formal and informal museum tours, community art workshops and lecturing in art history. I am currently a casual painting instructor at the National Art  School in Sydney.

Biography: Since I was 17, I have had a vision impairment through a Genetic Disorder called Von Hippell Lindau. I have been legally blind since 2005. Despite this, I have over 30 years experience in visual arts and photography in both a teaching and commercial capacity. I have experience in working with local Community Colleges and Youth groups. I have also taught Literacy through Art Programs for Adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, in which each student creates their own individual communication book.

Biography: I am a practicing artist with broad experience in a wide range of the visual and performing arts as well as teaching and project development. My main focus now is in the visual arts, primarily video and multimedia.  I also know the constricting influence occasioned by a kidney condition that requires regular access to treatment. My work experience includes teaching at public and private tertiary art institutions and practice with video, audio and multimedia projects, including with the Museum of Contemporary Art and College of Fine Arts, University of NSW. I particularly enjoy helping people to discover their own abilities in a fun environment and I believe that is a specialist area of my expertise.
